The Wit of the Stitch

Ruthin low res IMG_0437_2 gandhi 2

From July til late Sept new work can be seen in the Wit of the Stitch at Ruthin Craft Centre, North Wales curated by June Hill. One piece is a new installation  – an environmental stitched sampler celebrating the work of early Welsh poet Tudur Aled.  Aled’s words sewn into the ground at Ruthin (in Welsh) are one of the earliest mentions of the word sampler dating back to the fifteenth century. The new outcomes also include a series of stitched portraits of famous introverts and a hand sewn blog/blanket documenting a year of my PhD study.
