An exhibition took place over the summer celebrating flax grown locally on waste ground in Manchester and turned into cloth and yarn. Stitching Up Oxford Rd was a commission to create a collaborative artwork with and about Manchester Oxford Rd and involved working with groups and organisations based on this busy throughfare. The quilt was made from plastic bags collected on Oxford and “transformed” in workshops up and down Oxford Rd.
